Jamie Heiner, Director of Sports Performance / CSCS, SPARQ
Email Jamie jamie@myimpactsports.com Jamie comes to Impact with a wealth of experience in the sports arena. He played linebacker in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans in 2000 following a career at Northern Colorado. At UNC, Jamie earned 1st Team All-American and 1st Team All-Academic Honors and set records for most career interceptions returned for touchdowns and tackles in a playoff game. He also ranks in UNC's all time top five in several categories including tackles, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. Following his playing career, Jamie's passion for working with kids and athletes, combined with his vast knowledge and experience in speed and strength conditioning lead him into the field of sport specific training. His playing career, his knowledge of performance training and his passion for learning and discovering new beneficial ways to train athletes gives him a rare and exciting combination. Jamie has long term goals of working with young student athletes and helping them achieve their goals, both on the field and in the classroom. He strives to instill hard work ethic while creating a fun and energetic training environment. His recent accomplishments include being the strength and conditioning coach for the Colorado Rapids MLS (2006, 2008) as well as the USA Rugby Collegiate All-Americans (2007). Jamie is married to his college sweetheart, Kari, and has two children, Casey (5 yrs) and Madison (3 yrs). He loves spending time with his family watching movies, playing at the park, and hanging out with friends.
Michael Keating, Performance Coach / MS, ATC, CSCS, SPARQ
Email Michael michael@myimpactsports.com Michael, a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, brings over 13 years of experience in the field of sports medicine and rehabilitation to Impact Sports. As part of the Impact Team, Michael will provide sports performance training, rehabilitation as well as marketing. A native of Chicago, Michael has been fortunate to work with all levels of athletes from the weekend warrior to professional athletes. Most recently he served as a Clinical Athletic Trainer at a Boulder sports medicine clinic. Prior to this he was an Athletic Trainer with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL for 6 years, additionally he has worked with teams from the NBA, MLB, MLS and NFL. He continues to work with the US Rugby and US Soccer national teams. Michael has been active with legislation in the athletic training profession. He also teaches courses in anatomy and rehabilitation throughout the country. Michael received a B.S. degree in Athletic Training from Southern Illinois University and a M.S. degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois. Michael and his wife Amy reside in Denver and enjoy spending their free time playing golf, tennis and hiking. He also is a volunteer at The Denver Children’s Hospital.

Ryan played linebacker at the University of Northern Colorado and was a captain on a team that won the 2002 Confernce Championship. Currently, Ryan is committed to providing superior customer service whether it's training athletes or on the phone. He is also presently studying to get CSCS certified. Not only does Ryan work at Impact, he also trains here as he prepares for the upcoming UIF's Colorado Ice football season. In 2007 Ryan was the starting middle linebacker for the Ice and the Defensinve Rookie of the Year in the UIF, not to mention he recently participated in the first ever UIF All-Star game! Ryan attented Arvada West H.S. where he was a 3-time High School All-American. He also played baseball and basketball at Arvada West.

Email Dan dan@myimpactsports.com Dan comes to Impact Sports as a Certified Athletic Trainer and in pursuit of a strength and conditioning certification. After being the first intern ever at Impact, Dan rejoins the team following time spent working with many sports teams including the USA Rugby team at the World Cup in France. Dan finished his schooling at the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse, with an emphasis in exercise and sport science. He brings a wealth of endurance sports experience to Impact being an expert level mountain bike, cross-country ski and road bike racer. As a new immigrant to Colorado, Dan grew up in Minnesota playing baseball, hockey and skiing, but spent most of his off seasons cycling, camping and kayaking. Away from Impact, Dan spends his time hiking, playing music and as an active member of the Eldora Mountain Ski Patrol.

Cole is currently a member of the Colorado Thunderbirds Midget Major AAA hockey team. He played two years of Division 1 prep school hockey for the Pomfret School, and is currently pursuing a hockey scholarship. The former co-owner of MaxHosting, Inc., Cole also brings a variety of technological and computer related skills to the Impact team.

Email Allyssa allyssa@myimpactsports.com Allyssa is a Senior at Broomfield High School. She is active in softball for both the high school and a traveling team throughout the summer. She will be continuing her softball career at Trinidad State Junior College next year and is going to Major in Pre Physical Therapy. Allyssa has been with Impact since November of 2007 as an office assistant at the front desk.

Email Jane: jane@impactsport.org Jane is a registered dietitian with over 20 years of experience in nutrition counseling. In addition she has a Masters of Science in Nutrition with a specialty in sports nutrition. She has worked with athletes of all levels from Olympic class to amateur. She has worked in hospitals, wellness centers, eating disorder clinics, health clubs, sports medicine centers and Universities. Ms. Houck’s experience includes counseling clients in all types of modified diets including weight loss, heart disease and nutrition for sport. She has taught numerous classes on weight management and nutrition for athletes. On a personal note Jane is a wife and a mother of three ranging in age from 16 – 11, who participate in competitive basketball and swimming and train at Impact. In her free time she enjoys training and competing in triathlon and running events.

Lance joins Impact with a well-rounded view of the world of basketball. Having played on three different continents Lance has been immersed in many different styles of basketball. Lance was captain of his college basketball team at Colorado Christian University and co-captain on his professional team in Australia. He has been coaching basketball clinics and camps for years and enjoys working with individuals and teams in reaching their goals. When not coaching basketball Lance enjoys going to movies and traveling with his wife, Amy.

Paul Faust has been coaching pitchers for over two years, both privately and as staff pitching coach for Faith Christian High School. He pitched for a year at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, where he was trained by former Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Randy Tomlin. After graduating from Liberty in May of 2004 with B.S. degrees in English and Biblical Studies, Paul began teaching Bible at Faith Christian Middle School, and coaching both baseball and football. As of August 2006 he will be taching Bible at the high school level at Faith, while continuing to coach pitchers at both Faith and Impact Sports. Paul was married June 11, 2006 to his beautiful wife, Jenn, with whom he enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, and helping with various church youth ministries. When he is not coaching pitchers or teaching, Paul enjoys writing and mountain biking.
Bret Williamson, Hitting Instructor
Bret is a California native, coming from the San Francisco Bay Area. Bret graduated from Mission San Jose High School playing 3 years varsity high school baseball, one-year Junior College baseball at Central Arizona College and 3 years at Mesa State. Bret was a three time all RMAC, District 7 player and only two-time baseball All-American while at Mesa State. Bret had a career .420 batting average while at Mesa State. After graduating from Mesa State with a degree in Criminal Justice, Bret played professional baseball within the Cincinnati Reds organization. Bret is also former Commission Scout with the Montreal Expos, Varsity Baseball Coach at Monarch High School and has been giving professional hitting/baseball lessons since 1990. When Bret is not at Impact Sports, he travels across the country giving hitting instruction at various camps. He coaches the Colorado Rockies Fall Scout team and Colorado Youth National team. Bret resides in Broomfield with his wife Danielle and two children, Brennen and Sierra, who both attend Broomfield High School.

Email Brian brian@myimpactsports.com Brian begins his career at Impact with high expectations and goals. He was the Captain of his college basketball team at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. This is where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Wellness Management in 2004. From there he began a career in strength and conditioning and received his CSCS Certification (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist). In 2005 he was an assistant at Arizona State University where he helped implement the strength, speed and agility training instruction for the football team under the guidance of Sports Performance Head Coach, Joe Kenn. Before that he was an assistant at the Universtiy of Virginia where is duties were the same for their football team. Brian currently spends a lot of his time training for America's Strongest Man Competition. Having already qualified as one of 16 men invited to America's Storgest Man, Brian will compete at the end of May and is on of the favorites heading in. This is a remarkable feat given that Brian has been training for less than two years. In this short time Brian has become one of the strongest men in the country, if not the world, and he holds the title of Denver's Strongest Man.

Email Brandon brandon@myimpactsports.com Brandon Harper joins the Impact staff after training under Jamie Heiner for the past two years. Brandon attended the College of the Southwest before moving on to Dallas Baptist University for his sophomore and junior season. While at Dallas Baptist he was the starting catcher and was named 2nd Team NAIA All-American his junior year. Following his junior year he was drafted by the Florida Marlins and spent six years in the farm system. Spent two years in the Detroit Tigers organization, before moving on to the Washington Nationals organization. Highlight of career was being called up to the Major Leagues during the 2006 season. Brandon looks forward to sharing his expertise in the areas of hitting, catching and fielding. Brandon resides in Broomfield with his wife Joanna and daughter Hope. They are expecting a baby girl in January.

He earned his degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Colorado. He also holds a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Regis University. Jeff has been working as a Physical Therapist for over 11 years. He loves training athletes, especially baseball players and finds it very rewarding in getting people back to their activities.

Email Matt matt@synapsept.com Matt decided to become a Physical Therapist after having physical therapy for sports injuries in high school. He went to Ohio State, earning a degree in Exercise Physiology, and graduated at Regis University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Matt’s particular interest is in treating foot and ankle injuries. He has treated professional and collegiate dancers, baseball players, runners, and hockey players. Matt enjoys designing individualized programs created specifically for injuries.

She went to Physical Therapy school at Regis University and has completed internships in out-patient orthopedics and in hospital settings. Elizabeth really likes treating the foot/ankle injuries as well as the spine and enjoys helping her patients return to the things they enjoyed following an injury. She finds that the most satisfying part of physical therapy is the one-on-one relationships that she builds with patients.

She loves meeting people and working on the computer and so her position at Synapse Physical Therapy is a perfect fit. Lauri has worked in the Jefferson County School District and in a retirement facility. she currently has 2 children attending CU. In her free time, she likes hiking, biking on trails & Starbucks. She also shops and cleans for an elderly couple so that they can stay independent for a longer period of time.

Nicole comes to us with an ACE(American Council on Exercise) certification for personal training from Heritage College. She interned with Impact Sports last summer and continues to teach performance classes and provide personal training with Impact Sports . Nicole hopes to gain more knowledge in this field and wants to continue her education to eventually become an athletic trainer. She enjoys working with and helping people. |
